Obama's ad ran on several broadcast and cable networks last night reportedly at a cost of more than $3 million. It intertwined the stories of families facing financial and personal difficulties with segments in which the candidate discussed how he plans to help them and other Americans like them overcome their challenges.
Motorcycle Ride
Cillian Spain and I took a motorcycle ride over to the lake yesterday afternoon. I got a chance to try out his Triumph. I thought it small, nimble and uncomfortable compared to my Harley.

Three Bears a Northstar Village
Spotted a mother bear and her two large cubs near the Northstar Ski area clubhouse last Friday. The one in the lead behind the bush is the large mamma bear.
Finally Repaired the Bear Box
I fixed the bear box a couple of weeks ago where it had been torn up by a bear about three a years ago. Not exactly a timely repair but it came out pretty well I think. Here are the before and after pictures.
