I'd like to put a rusty corrugated steel roof on the new garage to get this kind of look.

I got a better idea. Get a new roof and paint it with red and orange oxide to get the rusty look. It's more durable and definitely safer than the old, rusted roof.

That is a good one, Gabrielle! I think it is much safer to get a new roof and paint it to your liking, than install an old rusty one that would give away in time.

Are you sure you want to put a rusty corrugated steel roof on your new garage, just for the sake of “appeal”? Isn’t that risky or just a waste of money? I think you should follow Gabrielle’s advice which is to paint your roof and make it look rusty.

Sometimes, rusty roof can be repaired by cleaning the rust with a roof solution and steel brush. After that, you can spray it with water using a garden hose. Lastly, repaint the roof with protective paint. However, if the physical appearance of the rusted roof is beyond repair, then I suggest that you to replace it with a new one.
