Cold Ride up Donner Summit

Cold Ride up Donner Summit, originally uploaded by abavetta.

Did a training ride up Donner Summit on Tuesday (4/17/07). It was cold (about 45 deg F) and windy. Stopped just short of the summit to avoid the potential of being blown off the road.

Old 3 LNB HDR antenna

Just completed installation of 5 LNB AT9 antenna with HDR local channels. Heater on dish surface will hopefully keep the antenna surface free of snow and ice buildup.

View with cover on dish surface. Hopefully cover will protect surface of dish and heater element from being blasted by county snow blower.

Note Lexan (Polycarbonate) shield I fabricated and mounted to a snow pole to shield the feed assembly from snow thrown by the county snowblower
